Victoria Park Subgrade and Sediment Ponds
Adelaide’s iconic Victoria Park was upgraded to include a 3.2 hectare wetland on the fringe of the Adelaide CBD. The aim of this project was not only to enhance the biodiversity of the area and create a beautiful recreational space for public use, but also to provide a practical solution to flood management in the park lands creek and downstream residential areas.
Works included excavation of a series of wetland ponds, path sub-grade excavations and topsoil finishing works around the wetlands. The park was opened on May 7 2022 and is enjoyed by thousands of people per week!
